Det. Jim Woods – Houston Police Department

After 33 years, Jim Woods, Past SCRC President, retired from the Houston Police Department on Jan. 12, 2017.  The majority of his career was spent serving the Auto Crimes unit and successfully launching a variety of proactive and reactive initiatives. Jim will be missed at Houston PD but will remain active with TAVTI/SCRC.  Please join us in wishing Jim well!

Sgt. David Landry – Dallas Police Department

After 28 years, David Landry, long-time Dallas Commercial Auto Theft Task Force commander, retired from the Dallas Police Department on Feb. 4, 2017, with a packed-house send-off ceremony at the Dallas Police Association.  Sgt. Landry served for many years as the sergeant over the CATIS (Commercial Auto Theft Interdiction Squad).  Under his lead, the city saw a 15% decrease in vehicle crime totals.  David is moving on to the private sector working in the arena of cargo theft reduction.  Please join us in wishing David well!
